Han"],"format":["ASCII","HTML"],"page_count":"37","pub_status":"PROPOSED STANDARD","status":"PROPOSED STANDARD","source":"Common Control and Measurement Plane","abstract":"A Wavelength Switched Optical Network (WSON) requires certain\r\nkey information fields be made available to facilitate path\r\ncomputation and the establishment of Label Switched Paths (LSPs).\r\nThe information model described in \"Routing and Wavelength \r\nAssignment Information Model for Wavelength Switched Optical Networks\" (RFC 7446)\r\nshows what information is required at specific points in the WSON.\r\nPart of the WSON information model contains aspects that may be of\r\ngeneral applicability to other technologies, while other parts are\r\nspecific to WSONs.\r\n\r\nThis document provides efficient, protocol-agnostic encodings for\r\nthe WSON-specific information fields. It is intended that protocol-\r\nspecific documents will reference this memo to describe how\r\ninformation is carried for specific uses. Such encodings can be used\r\nto extend GMPLS signaling and routing protocols.
