Jesup"],"format":["ASCII","HTML"],"page_count":"101","pub_status":"PROPOSED STANDARD","status":"PROPOSED STANDARD","source":"Audio\/Video Transport","abstract":"This memo describes an RTP Payload format for the ITU-T\r\nRecommendation H.264 video codec and the technically identical\r\nISO\/IEC International Standard 14496-10 video codec, excluding the\r\nScalable Video Coding (SVC) extension and the Multiview Video Coding\r\nextension, for which the RTP payload formats are defined elsewhere.\r\nThe RTP payload format allows for packetization of one or more\r\nNetwork Abstraction Layer Units (NALUs), produced by an H.264 video\r\nencoder, in each RTP payload. The payload format has wide\r\napplicability, as it supports applications from simple low bitrate\r\nconversational usage, to Internet video streaming with interleaved\r\ntransmission, to high bitrate video-on-demand.\r\n\r\nThis memo obsoletes RFC 3984. Changes from RFC 3984 are summarized\r\nin Section 14. Issues on backward compatibility to RFC 3984 are\r\ndiscussed in Section 15.
