Vasseur"],"format":["ASCII","HTML"],"page_count":"14","pub_status":"PROPOSED STANDARD","status":"PROPOSED STANDARD","source":"Common Control and Measurement Plane","abstract":"The paths taken by Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and\r\nGeneralized MPLS (GMPLS) Traffic Engineering (TE) Label Switched\r\nPaths (LSPs) may be computed by Path Computation Elements (PCEs).\r\nWhere the TE LSP crosses multiple domains, such as Autonomous Systems\r\n(ASes), the path may be computed by multiple PCEs that cooperate,\r\nwith each responsible for computing a segment of the path.\r\n\r\nTo preserve confidentiality of topology within each AS, the PCEs\r\nsupport a mechanism to hide the contents of a segment of a path (such\r\nas the segment of the path that traverses an AS), called the\r\nConfidential Path Segment (CPS), by encoding the contents as a Path\r\nKey Subobject (PKS) and embedding this subobject within the result of\r\nits path computation.\r\n\r\nThis document describes how to carry Path Key Subobjects in the\r\nResource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) Explicit Route Objects (EROs)\r\nand Record Route Objects (RROs) so as to facilitate confidentiality in\r\nthe signaling of inter-domain TE LSPs.
